I have completed an MA at the Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BCPC) in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. As part of the training I spent two years participating in professional peer group supervision as well as conducting client work through the NHS. I have also been working with clients in private practice since February 2014. Since qualifying I have done numerous trainings which support my work as a therapist.
As a psychotherapist registered under UKCP must adhere to both the UKCP and BCPC Code of Ethics, I am also strictly regulated in terms of on-going supervision/peer supervision and CPD, and am required to carry professional indemnity insurance.
Prior to starting up in private practice, I spent many years working in the environmental sector for a range of charitable, private and public organisations. Although not directly related to the work I do now, I feel my diversity of experience gives me further insight into types of day to day challenges that some of my clients may face.
